Whether you like to hike in a national park, boat on the lake, taste wine or go shopping, the Finger Lakes have something that appeals to everyone. Whether you are coming for a quiet weekend, family getaway or some time away with friends the Finger Lakes is the perfect place go.
The Finger Lakes are famous for their wineries; especially the Rieslings. The area is also home to a number of breweries, hard-cider producers, distilleries and great local restaurants. Our houses are located in the center of the Seneca Lake Wine Trail.
With seasonal bounty as rich as the soil and heritage that cultivate it, Finger Lakes farms offer a variety of ways to experience a taste of the region’s best produce locally—from farmer’s markets to community supported agriculture (CSA) programs, from farm stands, to pick-your-own (U-pick) produce. All of these options offer opportunities to learn more about the farmers who tend to the food we eat—and some invite you to the fields to harvest for yourself!
The Finger Lakes region offers a mix of wonderful fine art shops, museums, galleries, studios and several performing arts theaters. From classic to contemporary, you can see artwork that was created across the globe or right down the road. There are also studios to take classes in the fine or performing art disciplines. Many locations offer classes for children and adults.
In addition to the 11 pristine Finger Lakes themselves, there are several surrounding parks to enjoy. Watkins Glen State Park is known for its high waterfalls and steep gorges but is conveniently located just off of Main Street in Watkins Glen, NY. The Watkins Glen State Park also offers a number of other outdoor activities including swimming and fishing.
Daily cruises & boat tours are offered on Canandaigua, Skaneateles, Seneca and Cayuga Lakes as well as on the Historic Erie Canal. Water Tours are available from 1 hour general sightseeing cruises to wine cruises and full course dinner cruises for you and your family to specialized wedding events and group tours.
If you’re feeling more adventuresome or looking for fun, consider renting a paddle board, kayak or canoe. Fishing Charters are available as well.
