Food and Wine

The Finger Lakes are famous for their wineries; especially the Rieslings. The area is also home to a number of breweries, hard-cider producers, distilleries and great local restaurants. Our houses are located in the center of the Seneca Lake Wine Trail

U-Pick Farms and Farmers Markets

With seasonal bounty as rich as the soil and heritage that cultivate it, Finger Lakes farms offer a variety of ways to experience a taste of the region’s best produce locally—from farmer’s markets to community supported agriculture (CSA) programs, from farm stands, to pick-your-own (U-pick) produce. All of these options offer opportunities to learn more about the farmers who tend to the food we eat—and some invite you to the fields to harvest for yourself! al surrounding parks to enjoy. Watkins Glen State Park is known for its high waterfalls and steep gorges but is conveniently located just off of Main Street in Watkins Glen, NY. The Watkins Glen State Park also offers a number of other outdoor activities including swimming and fishing.

Arts & Culture – Performing & Fine Arts, Galleries, Museums

The Finger Lakes region offers a mix of wonderful fine art shops, museums, galleries, studios and several performing arts theaters. From classic to contemporary, you can see artwork that was created across the globe or right down the road. There are also studios to take classes in the fine or performing art disciplines. Many locations offer classes for children and adults.

National Parks

In addition to the 11 pristine Finger Lakes themselves, there are several surrounding parks to enjoy. Watkins Glen State Park is known for its high waterfalls and steep gorges but is conveniently located just off of Main Street in Watkins Glen, NY. The Watkins Glen State Park also offers a number of other outdoor activities including swimming and fishing.

Boating & Fishing

Daily cruises & boat tours are offered on Canandaigua, Skaneateles, Seneca and Cayuga Lakes as well as on the Historic Erie Canal. Water Tours are available from 1 hour general sightseeing cruises to wine cruises and full course dinner cruises for you and your family to specialized wedding events and group tours.

If you’re feeling more adventuresome or looking for fun, consider renting a paddle board, kayak or canoe. Fishing Charters are available as well.

Hot Air Balloon Rides

You can also take to the sky during your Stay. Hot-air balloons and gliding both have a home in the Finger Lakes.

Shopping

When it comes to shopping, the Finger Lakes region has a bit of everything–from a top tier outlet mall in Waterloo, to countless antique shops hidden along country roads, to small town gift shops and hip boutiques.
